BEFORE Tiny House Photos

Ok as promised here's the pictures of the house prior to us tearing up the carpets. Found out that the sub floors are the 1920 originals and shot, the kitchen wall is 2 times as thick as the rest of the house meaning they put it on OVER TOP of the outside siding.

The floors are all going to have to be torn up and the floor joists are huge 3 inch thick ones, but they're all uneven making the floor wavy. And Einy said if the floors wavy you can't do hardwood I told him the floors getting fixed because I'm not dealing with smelly @$$ carpet like what we had to deal with in here anytime in the future should we rent the place out.

This house is going to be LOVED back into Shape.
Note: Only took us 90 minutes to do the entire house getting rid of all the carpets.
Looking Immediately inside the front door
that is a sudden wall with the tiny bedroom door in it
This wall is going bye bye along with the wall on the right side to
Open up the living room.

Again same location looking inside the front door.

Inside that tiny room. Notice the window, that will go away as the
Kitchen will extend across the back half of the house.  The metal
piece at the bottom of the pic is the top of the new kerosene heater.

The ceiling of the tiny room along with the walls.
As you can see they "Attempted" insulation and yes, Yes
that is paneling randomly placed up there along with Plaster
and slats under it all.

This is standing just inside the front door looking through the
Living room door into the Living room. The window you see
Will go away and become the new bathroom door. You can
see outside that is the far side with the tub against it wall
of the bathroom. The cast iron grate on the floor that will receive an
acid bath to clean it up. The closet on the far right shows the
walled over fireplace that will be eliminated as well.

Still in the Living room now looking to the left against the back wall
this is the door way into the kitchen. Notice you can see the THICK
door frame on the right side.

Ceiling of the Living room and I stand corrected. They're 10 foot
ceilings. But with all the crap that's up there who knows how high it could be.

The big blank surface you see on the Left is the Front door
opened up and blocking the Bedroom that is open. It gives
you a perspective of how small that Hallway is.
I colorfully call it a "cluster f**k".

Inside the Bedroom the ONLY room that looked LIVABLE
in the entire house. The closet is going away and notice
the built out wall, we suspect another random fireplace in it that's
Going away as well. The window will then be moved over towards it
And made into two if I can get my way with it.

Bedroom ceiling with what I can only assume is original 1920
light fixture. It's going away and the doors currently on hinges
Apart from the front door are coming off and placed on saw horses to become
Makeshift tables for our kitchen and what not till we get it completed.

Inside the bedroom looking to the left. The window looks out
over on the front steps, that's the bedroom door to the little hallway.
It too may get moved or have a slightly bigger window placed there.
We haven't decided yet.

Looking into the kitchen from the living room.

To the LEFT of the kitchen there is a sliding glass door and
the view of the yard and neighbors. That's going to become
more kitchen to the end of the house and patio.

To the RIGHT of the kitchen and that door that's open on the right
leads into the bathroom. This will eventually become the pantry/storage/
and laundry area.

Looking inside the bathroom. I can only imagine what lurks
under that nasty carpet and tub area. You can see to the left
is the immediate sink and toilet with the tub along the back
wall.

Further inside the bathroom. as you can see to the right there
is NO storage space in the bathroom and with the little window
I feel like it's literally a dungeon bath.

I will admit though the bath tub is clean despite how gross everything
else seemed to look.

Above the Potty. I do believe now that perhaps there was a
double meaning to me calling this place The Teeny Tiny Toilet House.
Eeesh.

The Front Porch, rusted to heck and back and the ONLY SOLID
thing that we won't have to FIX. Apart from the roof and the
rusted beams and railing.

Front Porch: Our stairs for the time being, They will eventually be demolished
off and a new set built/poured. And yes, that is a coal vent on the right side wall.

A small picture of the basement window hidden by weeds that will
go bye bye as well. You can see the front steps in the bottom right
corner.

A picture of the car parked in the driveway to the house. The
drive needs widened and chopped off on this side so we can open
the car door and walk without issue. It's also getting paved eventually.

Side of house where the bedroom is. And is in the original
shots of the house in the first post, this is just a close up.

This is our yard. Very very tiny and all these old dying trees
and weeds are going away so that you are able to move around behind
the house with ease and not fight the wild flora.

What the back of the House looks like now. The sliding door
of the kitchen. The small window of the tiny room with red
carpet and the non existent "backyard" behind the house.

Back of house still. The red carpet rooms window and the
Blank back wall of the bedroom. This will soon become house
and part of the extended kitchen.

Picture of the Front Porch coal hatch. A novel little thing that
is probably 1920 original and will be made into something unique
Also I am standing in the driveway so it's right up against the house.

Another shot of the Front Porch

Ah HA the Basement Door. This will be dug out to match the end of the
porch and become a belco door to keep out rain and snow.

Another shot of the Basement door, the electric meter, and
to the far right the bathroom built on. The bathroom will come down
and meet the front end of the house with a window possibly.
Also that wall of the bathroom is the END of our Property
Yeah there's NOTHING we don't even own the grass on the
other side of it,....yet. ;)

Standing in Neighbors unused yard looking at Living room
window, and bathroom built on.

Another shot of how screwy the right side of the house is
This will be evened up with the bathroom in the back and made
into an even side.

These are going away as they're a threat of falling on the house
even though the yard I'm in isn't ours those trees are ours.

The yard that we're hoping to get and place a garage on with
a turn around and to the left I have an area by the neighbors fence
I get to plant flowers along. ;)
Okay I posted the pictures of the house, like the title says it's tiny. But for two people this is going to be plenty of room. Plus no mortgage so we can only gain with what we're doing.

Thanks,
Mallow
